At least 10,937 candidates sitting for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams in Mombasa County will receive food and water during the examination period.

This is after Mombasa Governor Abdullswamad Sheriff Nassir launched a school feeding program for KCSE candidates across the county.

Speaking during the launch, Nassir said the initiative will ensure every candidate has a nutritious meal daily to help them focus fully on their exams.

“With support from the Mombasa County Assembly and other elected leaders, we’re committed to creating the best conditions for our students to succeed,” said Governor Abdullswamad.

The initiative is under the Sharrif Nassir Foundation and the County Government of Mombasa.

The more than 10,900 candidates from 114 secondary schools in the county will get meals and bottled water.
