Octopizzo releases much anticipated album

Kenyan rapper and philanthropist Henry Ohanga popularly known as Octopizzo has dropped his much anticipated album.

‘Kich Ka Liech’, his 8th studio album which was previously scheduled for release on the 8th of August but was postponed due to the anti-government protests (nane nane).

The 12 songs album described as a cultural odyssey, incorporates patriotic samples, classic cultural rap and metaphorical lyrics.

The name of the album, Kich Ka Liech translates to bees stinging elephant in his native Luo language and features artists like Akoth Jumadi, Fanisi Band, Magaa and ACH13NG’.

Octopizzo who has been vocal expressing dissatisfaction by how the government is run held a listening party for the album where key figures in the country such as Langata MP Jalango, activist Boniface Mwangi, Winnie Odinga and others were in attendance.

‘The Don’ as he likes to call himself has previously released released albums such as Lamu Nights, Fuego, Jungle Fever and others enjoying a fair success in terms of streaming numbers. He has released only visuals for one song, track number 2. Kich Ka Liech.

Fans online have positively responded to the sound of the songs, praising the rapper for his versatility and humble personality.
