Leaders in Kaloleni sub-county Kilifi county now want President William Ruto to appoint a Cabinet Secretary from within the county.
Led by political analyst Hassan Wanje, they said the area was not short of competent leaders.
“We have the best leaders in Kilifi county. We plead with you to give us at least one two or three slots,” Wanje said.
He gave an example of the former Gender CS Aisha Jumwa whom he described as one of the most prominent and outstanding leaders of our time.
He further claimed that the area has been marginalized for a long time saying it was high time the county changed for the better.
Meanwhile, the political analyst urged Gen Zs to stick to the law while protesting.
“As long as I support the protests, do it within the confines of the law. Do not go out looting both private and public property in the name of fighting for your rights,” said Wanje.
