Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the ‘New Life Prayer Centre and Church’ at Mavueni in Kilifi County has been arrested.
Pastor Ezekiel was arrested on Thursday morning and taken to Mombasa for questioning.
Confirming the arrest, Coast Regional Coordinator Rhoda Onyancha said Pastor Ezekiel’s prayer center had also been closed.
“This morning we arrested Pastor Ezekiel Ombok Odero of the New Prayer Center and Church at Mavueni in Kilifi County on allegations of the deaths that have been occurring at his premises and reported in various morgues or institutions,” said the Coast Regional Coordinator.
“We have also taken action and closed down the prayer center. So we are urging and giving information to the public that the prayer center has been closed and whatever was in there cleared out,” she added.
