Raila calls for weekly mass action

Azimio One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga has called for weekly protest against the government.

Odinga said the protest will now be happening every Monday of the week.

This come amid protest witnessed in several parts of the country with Nairobi bearing the brunt.

Odinga’s attempt to lead his supporters to the Nairobi CBD and finally to Statehouse were thwarted by anti-riot police who used water cannons, teargas to disperse the protesters.

One person was reported dead after he was shot by police during the demos in Kisumu.

Odinga wants the ruling Kenya Kwanza administration to lower the cost of living and open the servers with a view of determining who won the presidency during the last polls among a raft of other demands.  

 “Tumesema gharama ya maisha mpaka irudhi chini. Vile vile, sava mpaka ifunguliwe.” He said.

In Kisumu, a recently opened UDA office was vandalized and two vehicles outside the office burnt.
