Gas prices are expected to go down from June this year.

Speaking while addressing women in Nairobi, President Wiliam Ruto said the government will get rid of the eight percent gas tax in a move to lower gas prices.

President Ruto said this will ensure more Kenyans are able to buy gas.

“We are currently buying gas cylinders between sh.2,000 and 2,800, we have decided that we will allocate government funds to reduce gas cylinder prices. The 6kg cylinder that you buy at around sh.2,500 to 2,800, we will reduce it upto sh.500 or 300,” said President Ruto.
