KRA Boss Githii Mburu resigns

Kenya Revenue Authority Commissioner General Githii Mburu has resigned.

In a press statement sent to newsrooms by KRA, Githii resigned to pursue personal interests.

“Following the resignation, the Board has appointed FCAA, CS Rispah Simiyu (Mrs), Advocate, EBS to be the Acting Commissioner General KRA with effect from 23rd February 2023 until the position is substantively and competitively filled,” read the statement.

The Authority also made changes to further enhance the revenue mobilization agenda and synergies in the top management.

In the new changes; Pamela Ahago has been appointed the Acting Commissioner of Domestic Taxes.

David Mwangi has been appointed the Acting Commissioner of Customs and Border Control.

David Yego has been appointed Acting Commissioner in charge of Intelligence, Strategic Operations, Investigations, and Enforcement.

Nancy Ng’eich has been appointed Acting Commissioner of Corporate Support Services.

Dr. Mohammed Omar remains the Commissioner of Strategy Innovation and Risk Management.

Dr. Fred Mugambi Mwirigi remains the Commissioner Kenya School of Revenue Administration.

Paul Matuku remains Commissioner of Legal Services and Board Coordination.
