Kilifi residents urged to join NHIF

Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro has urged residents to enroll in the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).

Speaking during a meeting with the Nyandarua County Department of Health on Monday, Mung’aro said the county will carry out campaigns to sensitize public on NHIF.

“The county will enhance its sensitisation campaigns to encourage Citizens to enrol to the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) and make it accessible to all health facilities” Governor Mung’aro said.

They also discussed issues concerning adolescents, young mothers and youths.

According to Governor Mung’aro, the county will continue to support reproductive health service programs including formation of youth friendly rescue centres for survivors.

“We shall continue to train health professionals, provide essential medicine, and equipment for sexual reproductive health and other ailments in our quest to have good healthcare for all,” he added.

The Nyandarua team, led by First lady Grace Ndirangu, is in Kilifi to benchmark in the county’s health department in areas of Sexual Reproductive Health.
