Herbalist killed alongside her husband in Kilifi

Police in Kilifi County are investigating the murder of a traditional herbalist and her husband who were found dead in Goleni village, Rabai Constituency.

The bodies of the deceased were found with injuries suspected to have been caused by sharp objects.

According to a police report, Mutsunga Chiguta Mtsunga aged 60 years and Monje Mudzo Nzaka aged 52 years were discovered dead outside their homestead.

“The two, who are said to be husband and wife, were found lying dead with deep cut injuries on their bodies. No arrest or recovery was made,” read the report.

Police suspect the case is related to the latest killings of elderly in Kilifi.

Elders have sought refuge at the Kaya Godoma rescue center in Kilifi due to the rise in similar murders.
