The nightmare for Liverpool this season will continue as a number of key players including Luiz Diaz, Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss important games for the Jurgen Klopp’s side after picking injuries last weekend.
Luis Diaz is expected to be out of the pitch until December after sustaining knee injury in a 3-2 defeat against Arsenal.
The Colombian international was forced off during the first half of the English Premier League clash and he joins Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip who also suffered injuries on Sunday.
The trio now add to the list of injured players for the Merseyside based club with Naby Keita, Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain and Arthur Melo already long-time absentees.
It is a huge task for Jurgen Klopp who is struggling to take the club in the right direction having secured only ten points in his first eight matches this season.
It is clear that the three players will miss the midweek champions league game against rangers as well as the league match against defending champions Manchester city this weekend.
According to reports, Matip and Arnold will be sidelined for two weeks while the Colombian winger who has been in his best since joining the club from Porto in January will be out for three months. The last season’s runners-up are fourteen points behind league leaders Arsenal.
