President Uhuru Kenyatta is in Mombasa.
The President was spotted walking the streets of Mombasa alongside outgoing Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, Mombasa Governor-elect Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir and other Azimio affiliated leaders.
His visit came just a day after Abdulswamad’s win in the Mombasa gubernatorial elections that took place on the 29th of August, 2022.
ODM’s Abdulswamad garnered 119,083 votes to beat UDA’s Hassan Omar Sarai who garnered 98,105 votes.
It is the first time President Uhuru Kenyatta has made a public appearance since the elections.
