A woman from Makonjeni village in Bamba ward, Kilifi County wants to gift President Uhuru Kenyatta 10 turkeys.

Lilian Kali says the gift is her way of showing gratitude to the President for development in the county, especially putting tarmac on the Bamba-Mariakani road.

“My mother passed away in 2005, we carried her body on the bed and spent four days to transport because of the dilapidated state that the Mariakani-Bamba road was,” she said.

She says she swore from then to award the person who will develop the road.

“It has taken me three years to rear these turkeys,” said Lilian.

She says she is now ready to present the birds to President Kenyatta, however she has not succeeded in finding a way to deliver them.
