Azimio la Umoja team has nothing to offer Mombasa residents.

Speaking on Monday at The Hustler Centre in Nyali, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Mombasa Gubernatorial aspirant Omar Hassan Sarai bashed Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga saying they do not have agendas to help coastal residents.

“He fights on theoretical issues. He has no agenda to help farmers, fishermen, the port, land, cost of living nor housing,” said Hassan Omar.

Sarai said this was one of the reasons Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga vowed to boycott the presidential debate slated for Tuesday 26th July, 2022.

He said the Azimio team did not have answers on issues to do with returning port activities to Mombasa.

He also said the Jericho town hall meeting is meant to divert attention from the presidential debate.

“The presidential debate which is supposed to be a political and economical conversation is meant for both parties to air out the agendas to the nation, Raila’s plan to pull out of the debate is meant to divert attention,” said Omar Hassan.

Also at the briefing was UDA Senate aspirant Khamisi Mwaguya.

“Azimio has nothing to offer the residents of Mombasa, they lack commitment and have no aim to improve the livelihood and economic standards of coastal people,” Khamisi Mwaguya said.

This follows a statement made by Raila Odinga earlier on; announcing his plan to not attend the debate claiming it won’t focus on issues such as corruption, ethics, governance etc which mainly affect Kenyans.
