Tanzanian singer and songwriter Mbwana Yususf Kilungu, better known by his stage name ‘Mbosso’ is not a happy man.

This is after his music streams on ‘boomplay’, a music app, dropped by around 17.3 million in less than a week.

In an interview two weeks ago, the Baikoko hit maker claimed that his boomplay stream were at 98 million, only to see them drop to around 80.7 million the following week.

The drop came just a few weeks after he dropped his latest song moyo.

Mbosso expressed his disappointment in the drop saying he was hoping to it the 100 million streams and become the third East African target to hit the target.

Mbosso claims that his digital accounts manager blamed the drop on network issues within the music app which has affected several accounts including the ‘moyo’ singer’s account.

Apparently, according to his digital account manager, Mbosso’s account was the only one affected with the network issues in Tanzania, claiming that even Nigerian artist Davido’s  music streams  went down by 10million.

Mbosso now wants Boomplay to the situation in detail.
