The ongoing Covid-19 vaccine campaign in the country has been boosted following the arrival of more than 500,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine.
The consignment arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport from Rwanda.
Speaking while receiving the consignment, National Chairman of the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Working, Willis Akhwale said the doses would be very helpful in efforts to provide immunization to eligible people.
The government has vaccinated 17 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine since launching an adult vaccination exercise in March 2021.
