The country is experiencing a nationwide blackout due to some collapsed Kenya Power and Lighting Company towers.
According to KPLC, the towers on the Kiambere – Embakasi high voltage transmission powerline collapsed on Tuesday morning at around 10:45 am.
“Our engineers are working to restore electricity supply as the repairs are being undertaken. An update on the restoration progress will be issued in due course,” read a statement from the power company.
“We wish to apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused,” it continued to read.
