Kenyan musician Alisha Popat is in ‘The Voice’ competition.
Alisha joined other contestants in the 2021 ‘The Voice of Germany’ after getting a four chair turn during the blind auditions which were aired on Sunday night.
Performing ‘Wicked Game’ by Chris Isaak, Alisha first had Coach Sarah Connor turn with the other coaches; Nico Santos, Mark Foster and Johannes Oerding turning in the last seconds of her audition.

“I can’t believe it!! The biggest dream come true. Pinch me, because I still can’t believe this is REAL! I moved to Germany with no plan, no expectation amidst a pandemic. I decided to dive in deep, take a risk and jump right in! I started learning German and @grazie_a_roma pushed me to apply for the show… I cannot even believe that I am IN! Out of 10,000 applicants, I get to live out this dream and take this journey!” Alisha wrote on her social media platforms.
As a way of serenading her into his team, Coach Johannes Oerding also performed the same piece that was sang by Alisha. It paid off as she ended up choosing him as her coach.

The next part of the competitions are the battle rounds.
