Baraka FM Radio Presenter Francis Mandi has been awarded ‘Radio Presenter of The Year’ in the 2021 Injili Music Awards.
Mandi, who hosts ‘Tulizo’ and ‘Shikamo Sunday’ shows on Baraka FM beat six other contestants to emerge best Gospel Presenter at the award ceremony that was held at Mombasa Jubilee Christian Church on Sunday 11th April 12, 2021.
This is the third gospel award that ‘Mtumishi Mandi’, as many of his listeners refer to him, has won, first one being ‘Injili Music Awards Best Presenter’ in 2019 and another at FEMA Gospel awards in 2020.
‘Injili Music Awards’ is an awards initiative to recognize excellent, hardworking, and consistent talents in the Gospel music scene and music-related act in the coast media and events space.
Others who won in this year’s award ceremony include: Sarah Mbarikiwa who won ‘New Artist of the Year award’, MC Rex Kenyan got the ‘Gospel MC of the Year award’, Abigael Mkamburi who was awarded ‘Praise and Worship Artist of the Year’ and Cate Njane was awarded the ‘Outstanding Artist of the Year’.
