The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has offered an apology for a tweet that referred to the BBI as Burning Bridges Initiative instead of the Building Bridges Initiative.

The error was made while the commission was tweeting about the launch of the BBI supporters verification exercise, which was being held at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi County.

“Earlier today, the Commission posted a tweet on the launch of the Verification of BBI supporters. However, there was a typographical error in the tweet which was made inadvertently. The error does NOT any in way reflect the position of the Commission or its staff,” said the Commission.
