A Kilifi County Executive committee member (CEC) has contracted COVID-19.
Kilifi County Governor Amason Kingi said on Wednesday.
However, he did not reveal the identity of the minister.
This comes as the county government suspends some activities in the county following an increase in cases of coronavirus infection among its workers.
Kingi has indicated that six-county workers have contracted the coronavirus.
He pointed out that within the next two weeks only essential service providers will be allowed to enter the office.
At the same time, he said various county offices would be fumigated and more staff would be tested for the virus.
