246 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the country as the c Coast region recorded 30 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman announced that new cases in Coastal region as follows-Lamu(10), Mombasa(7), Taita Taveta(7), Kilifi(5), Kwale(3) and Tana River(1)
The 246 new virus cases announced on Tuesday in 4,149 samples tested raised virus cases in the country to 32,803.
Nairobi County again leads with 75 new cases over the last 24 hours as the ministry of health announced that 429,513 samples have been tested in the country since March.
Aman said that among the cases recorded on Tuesday five people are foreigners, 170 males were infected with the virus while the youngest is a 2 years child.
The ministry further announced that 160 people have recovered from the virus.
“120 of the recoveries were under home-based health care while 34 were discharged from different hospitals bringing a total of 19,055 recoveries, “said Aman.
Five people have also succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours bringing fatality to 559 people.
