
Kwale County is among counties listed to receive heavy rainfall this week.
This is according to Kenya Meteorological Department on Monday statement.
Through a letter sent to newsrooms, counties of Kwale, Baringo, Elgeyo-Marakwet, West Pokot, Uasin Gishu and Laikipia are among those expected to receive rains above 70 mm.
Some parts of the counties of Mombasa, Kilifi, Bungoma, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nakuru, Trans Nzoia, Turkana, would be expecting moderate rainfall of between 50-70 mm according to the weatherman.
Some parts of the coastal strip and,Busia, Kakamega, Nandi, Kisumu, Kericho, Nyamira, Murang’ a, Kiambu, Nyeri, Samburu, Turkana, and Meru are also expected to receive light rainfall of 10-50 mm.
The counties of Nairobi, Machakos, Kitui, upper Tana River, Kajiado, Narok, Migori, Makueni, Embu, Garissa, Wajir, Isiolo, Taita Taveta, Mandera and Marsabit are expected to remain relatively dry.
The forecast is for the period between July 28 and August 3, 2020
