Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has been put in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic that has so far infected over 245,000 people and claimed more than 10,000 lives globally.
Chibu was quarantined after his manager Sallam Mendez tested positive for COVID-19.
The ‘gere’ singer had traveled to France with his manager and team.
Others also in quarantine include Diamond’s dancers, videographer, video director and handlers.
The Tanzanian musician shared a video of him and his team in quarantine on his Instagram.
Meanwhile, rapper Mwana FA who had traveled to South Africa has tested positive for the virus.
The musician who features Vanessa Mdee on the hit song ‘Dume Suruali’ said he decided to go for a check up after coming back from S.Africa. He said he was feeling unwell and had high temperatures.
So far Tanzania has six confirmed cases of the virus.
The virus has infected at least 245,967 people and killed at least 10,048.
Out of the number of infected, 88,465 recovered from the virus.
Those currently infected are at least 147,454 out of which 7,388, which is 5 per cent are in critical condition.
