Burning vehicle forces Makueni residents to inhale bhang

Residents living in Mtito Andei were forced to inhale bhang after a saloon car packed with marijuana rammed into a fuel tanker and burst into flames at Mtito Andei along Mombasa- Nairobi Highway.

The vehicle that had been illegally ferrying the marijuana burst into flames after colliding with a fuel tanker.

The bhang of unknown value was being ferried towards Mombasa when the vehicle veered off its lane and rammed into an oncoming oil tanker.

According to Kibwezi Sub-County Police Commander Ben Changulo, the incident happened on Monday night.

“The driver of motor vehicle KCA 783R, James Ochieng Ombok, sustained fractures on both legs and cuts on the head and was rescued before the vehicle burst into flames and burned into a shell. He was rushed to Mtito Andei Health Centre for treatment,” said the Sub-County Police Commander.
