Kenyan afro-pop band Sauti sol have yet again made history after being featured in the first-ever African original Netflix series dubbed ‘Queen Sono’

The four-man band has been featured alongside South African Swahili rapping sensation Sho Madjozi and Black Motion.

Sono’s official trailer premiered on Thursday night in South Africa.

Queen Sono is a South African crime drama web television series created byKagiso Lediga where  Pearl Thusi (Quantico) an actress, model, television host, and radio personality plays an undercover agent for a South African intelligence unit.

The year began well for Sauti Sol who are currently riding on their banger ‘Suzzanna’ which has so far garnered 3.3Million views in just 2 weeks on YouTube.

The band has topped the list of top 20 artiste’s royalty earners that’s according to Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK).
