A port employee has been shot dead by three armed robbers near Makuli Fagia area offices in Mombasa after withdrawing sh. 1.5 million from a local bank.
Samwel Kinanga died after being shot in the abdomen by the robbers as soon as he left the bank with the money at 4pm.
His colleague who was with him known as Katana Kanga is receiving treatment at Coast General hospital after he was shot in the leg.
Urban police Chief Eliud Munare said the suspects escaped using a motorcycle after the robbery.
Police have launched an investigation.
