Mrs. President Mombasa county Nadia Ahmed is among the newest appointees to Cabinet.

Nadia Ahmed was appointed as the chief administrative secretary (CAS) for ICT innovation  and youth affairs alongside Maureen Mbaka who has also been named as the CAS for ICT innovation and youth affairs.

Nadia was the Mombasa county representative for the Mrs President show that saw Homabay county Member of County Assembly Nerea Oketch crowned the winner in the reality Tv show that aired on KTN last year.

Nadia who is a PR practitioner holds a Masters degree in International Relations and Cultural Diplomacy from Hochschule Furtwangen University in Germany.

She is also the author of the book The Feminist in us.

The appointments made on Tuesday in a state of the nation address in Mombasa saw seven under thirty appointees made into the cabinet.

The appointments also saw the entry of former Machakos county gubernatorial candidate Wavinya Ndeti who has been appointed as the Chief Administrative Secretary the Ministry of Transport.

Former Tana River governor Hussein Dado had been moved from the ministry of devolution to the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of government.

Safina Kwekwe has been moved from the State Department of Gender Affairs to the Tourism docket where she will take over as the PS.

Dr Margaret Mwakima who once served as the Tourism and wildlife Principal Secretary before moving to the State Department for EAC, Ministry of EAC and Regional Development has been appointed as the PS regional development.
