James Mbugua of the makeki mathwiti slang is an all smiley after he was appointed the new brand ambassador for Valentine Cake House.

Mbugua who hails from Ndumberi Kiambu County was treated to more goodies at Chipukeezy show “The Funny Truth 4” where Eric Omondi and Chipukeezy organized a fundraising for Mbugua to aid his financial status.

The fundraiser saw Mbugua walk home with Sh 300,000 after Nyali Mp Mohammed Ali and Walter Mongare pledged Sh 100,000 each.

Dennis Itumbi chipped in with Sh 10,000 to aid Mbugua’s school fees with JamboPay CEO, Danson Muchemi, promising to pay Mbugua’s school fees for his primary school education and event sponsors DSTV pledged Sh100, 000.

Mageki Mathwiti became a household slang in Kenya after Mbugua’s uncle recorded Mbugua five years ago narrating his experience at a birthday party where cakes and sweets amazed him.

Mbugua’s clip went viral and fortune came knocking at his door prompting well wishers and personalities to visit their home with goodies among the first people to visit being Kameme FM Presenter Muthee Kiengei wa Watori.
