The ministry of education has refuted allegations going round online that university students will soon be required to wear uniforms.

Through their social media account, the ministry termed the allegations as cheap propaganda to tarnish Education CS Prof. George Magoha’s name.

“Public MUST ignore this cheap propaganda on social media. CS Magoha has never said this anywhere. Photo was taken during his vetting in Parliament where he said nothing like this. How low can malicious people get in their desperate attempt to muddy a shining public servant?” read a tweet from the ministry of education’s official twitter handle.

CS Magoha, who is currently in the Western part of the country to oversee the ongoing training of teachers for the Competency Based Curriculum, has warned that schools with poor infrastructure might face closure starting from June this year.
