Malindi court clerks charged with stealing title deeds

Mombasa, KENYA: Two Malindi court assistants were charged for allegedly stealing three title deeds to bail out a suspect in drug trafficking case.

Roba Jarsan Jara and Driscila Wanjala Mwamburi appeared before Mombasa senior magistrate Edigah Kagoni and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The two are accused of conspiracy to defeat justice by purporting to present and execute as security title deeds that had been earlier used as security in Malindi court.

They allegedly committed the offence on diverse dates between 22nd November 2018 and 30th January 2019 at unknown place.

Court directed each accused person to be released on bond of sh.500, 000

Case will be heard on 6th March.
