Nairobi, KENYA: Likoni legislator Mishi Mboko has retained her membership in house business committee as a section of Amani National congress mps protested over the picking of Wilfred Otsotsi into the committee.

The committee which is tasked to propel the entire house business of the National Assembly comprise of Mishi Mboko, Shadrack Mose, Joyce Emanikor, Makali Mulu, Amos Kimunya and Godfrey Otsotsi.

However, a section of ANC mps have protested appointment of Otsotsi into the committee replacing Emuhaya member of parliament Omboko Miremba, arguing that the leadership of the party was not privy into the appointment thus citing it as lack of respect to the party from their ODM counterparts.

Addressing the press at parliamentary buildings, Lugari member of parliament Ayub Savula accused ODM of bullying other affiliate parties in the house warning that such tendencies might lead to some devastating consequences especially during electioneering period.

“Let us operate in a clean and transparent manner way, they should not operate in an opaque manner. we don’t know what is happening, we don’t qualify as parliamentary party because of our numbers ,that is why they are bullying us ,they are bullying ANC all over .” savula said

He indicated that even ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi was not informed about the changes .

In a quick rejoinder Otsotsi said that as per parliamentary procedures, only minority leader John Mbadi and his counterpart Junet Mohammed have a mandate to determine who will be appointed into the position, because ANC is an affiliate party to NASA coalition.
