The Supreme Court has upheld Lamu Governor Fahim Twaha’s win.

The Supreme court judges on Wednesday ruled that the poll was free, fair and met the threshold of credible election.

In September last year, the Court of Appeal sitting in Mombasa dismissed an appeal by former Governor Issa Timamy contesting Twaha’s win.

Timamy had claimed the election of Twaha was riddled with electoral malpractices, bias and marked ballot papers.

Meanwhile, the Supreme court has also upheld the win of Changamwe MP Omar Mwinyi.
