Mombasa, KENYA: If you live in Mombasa, you will soon no longer have to queue outside waiting for Huduma centre to be opened.

The Huduma centre at GPO in Mombasa will from January 8th be opening as early as 6:30am and close at 7:30pm rather than the 8am- 5pm current working hours.

Mombasa County Commissioner Evans Achoki says the additional working hours will help in providing services to more people efficiently.

“You will be able to get all the services there, if you want an ID, certificate of good conduct, National Social Security Fund (NSSF) card, National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) card..” said Achoki on Wednesday.

In mid July this year, the government extended working hours at Nairobi’s GPO and City Square Huduma centres from 8am-5pm to 6:30am-7pm, in a bid to improve services.
