Mombasa, KENYA: Kenya Posta Corporation (KPC) on Thursday commissioned a warehouse at Mombasa port to provide distribution and logistic services to both national government and private sectors.
Speaking during the commissioning, KPC managing director Daniel Kagwe said the warehouse has the capacity to enable efficient storage of goods due for distribution Country wide cleared at the Port of Mombasa.
Posta is currently clearing goods for National oil Corporation, Central bank of Kenya and other private sectors.
“I wish to assure customers and public that the corporation is moving forward and is steadfast in its quest to remain a leading communications, distribution and financial services provider in the industry,” said Kagwe.
Kagwe said they will provide clearing agency services which will help employ more youth in the Country.
Posta will now compete with other agencies to clear over 1.5 million containers at the port annually to boost its revenue.
