Mombasa, KENYA: Likoni residents in Mombasa will now not have to go to town to shop as fastest growing supermarket chain Naivas opened a new branch in Likoni.
Speaking during the launch, Naivas Chief Commercial Officer Willy Kimani said that the Naivas Supermarket in Likoni, which is the 48th branch of Naivas, is the third of its kind countrywide.
“This is the first food market outside Nairobi. By food market we mean more than 30% of the shop actually deals with fresh products, we have a bakery for fresh bakes, deli, butchery, we have a pizza place, we have a grains place..” said Willy Kimani.
Other Naivas supermarket branches that are also food markets are the ones along Mombasa road and Kiambu road.
Willy Kimani also said Naivas will be opening another branch in Mombasa’s Mwembe Tayari area next week.
