English premier league side Arsenal looks forward to signing Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele.
Dembele has failed to impress Barca boss Ernesto Valverde due to his sudden change of behavior at Camp Nou and they are ready to offload him.
On the other hand Arsenal boss Unai Emery is said to have made an initial inquiry about his availability and according to sources, Dembele has already requested to leave Barcelona.
The 21-year-old joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 at a transfer fee of 94 million Euros.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is optimistic in improving his squad before January.
However, arsenals are forced to find a replacement for forwarding Danny Welbeck who suffered an ankle injury while playing Sporting CP in the Europa Clash two weeks ago.
According to Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi, January window transfer was not his approach, however, due to Welbeck’s injury, he said they are forced to look for his replacement.
“We are always going to strive to be the best team we can be. If there is a very good opportunity we are definitely going to consider. We will see. Danny Welbeck’s injury alters in a way, said Raul.
Welbeck who has had two operations on his broken ankle runs out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season.
It is not clear yet if he will pen down a new contract.
