Controversial South Sudanese Tycoon Lawrence Lual Malong Jnr is missing.

The controversial tycoon is reported to have been picked up by the Ugandan  Peoples Defence Force officers in Uganda at his hotel room in the Kalabagala suburb of Kampala.

This is according to South Sudanese radio, Radio Tamazuj which first broke the news.

“We don’t know who abducted him from the hotel. What we know is that Lual has no problem with the government of Uganda, “he said. “We are very concern as family members.” A relative told the Radio station.

Lual is known for his flashy lifestyle where he posts videos of himself flaunting wads of dollars.

Lual Malong’s controversial ways reached the peak when he told citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange that his wealth comes from Jesus and it has enabled him to sleep at the presidential suite of a Nairobi hotel and wear Rolex watches.

This is following the aftermath of an investigative piece by investigative journalist John  Allan Namu which blamed his father Paul Malong who is a former general for being among a group of senior South Sudanese citizens who are profiteering from the 5-year civil war in their country.

However, a report by holy wood actor George Clooney led organization The Sentry had in 2016 also linked powerful South Sudanese officials including President Salva Kiir and Vice-president Riek Machar to be beneficiaries of the war.
