Meet Mombasa top KCPE pupils

Mombasa,KENYA: It was special celebrations for Rama Paul who scored 430 marks in KCPE to top the charts in Coast.

Evans Musyoki a pupil at Coast  High vision Academy in Chaani, Changamwe constituency beat the odds to emerge the top with 430 marks.

In an exclusive interview with Baraka FM, Rama, who was the top pupil at Nyali School in Mombasa attributed his success to hard work.

“ I worked hard and put God before doing anything’, said an elated Rama.

The soft spoken Rama celebrated his success with his teachers who carried him shoulder high while singing praise songs.

On his part Musyoki attributed his triumph to hard work and dedication of his teachers and parents.

Nyadzua Tungu, a pupil at Light Academy in Mombasa came second with 428 marks.

Her teachers lifted her up high after arriving in the school to bask in glory following the announcement of the results by Education CS Amina Mohamed.

Nyadzua who hopes to join Alliance girls, wants to become a journalist in future.

She also had a word of encouragement to her fellow candidates.

“I encourage those who did not perform well to not give up hope”, she said.
