Nairobi, KENYA: Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia have parted ways with head coach Dylan Kerr. This is according to a statement by the team’s management.

The Briton led the 17-time champions to CAF Confederation cup group stages last season. He also led K’ogalo to a back-to-back league title in 2017 and 2018.

Kerr who served for 17 months at the club expressed his joy to the players.

“To players, all l can say is a big thank you for being amazing – everyone played their part with fun, enthusiasm, hard work and most of all belief in what l demanded for both on and off the field,’’ Kerr stated in the letter.

“I hope you continue having the vision l constantly told you and always remember no regrets,” he added.

This comes almost a fortnight after a historic friendly match that saw Gor Mahia take on Premier League club Everton at Goodison Park, losing the match 4-0.

Meanwhile, the team resumed training on Thursday in preparation for the first leg of the CAF Champions league preliminary round against Malawian side Nyasa Bullets slated for November 27.

Gor mahia are also gearing for the Kenyan Premier League new season where they will kick off with a tie against last season runners up Bandari FC on December 8.
