A Harmonize concert held at Eldoret Sports Club Ground turned chaotic after the artist failed to perform.
All hell broke loose after fans learnt that the WCB signee was not to perform and no explanation was coming forth from the event organizers.
Fans started chanting ‘haki yetu’, throwing stuff and vandalizing the stage.
Explaining the matter, Harmonize blamed it all on the event organizers who failed to pay him fully despite milking fans sh.500 for regular tickets and sh.2000 for VIP.
“Binafsi najua kiasi gani pesa inatafutwa kwa ugumu but kwa mapenzi yenu mlijitoa kuja kuni support sio kwasababu mie ni special sana….!!! Ni kwa upendo wenu tuu ila kilichonisikitisha ni promoters kuchukua pesa za watu wasio pungua 4000k then wakashindwa kuja kumalizia payment iliyobaki na kukimbia hii inaumiza sana…!!”
(Personally I know the struggle of making money but for your love you turned up to support me. Am disappointed that promoters took cash from not less than 4000 people then failed to complete my balance and instead went missing) said the Atarudi singer.
Harmonize who was given a warm reception at Eldoret had advertised the event in his social media platforms urging fans to turn up in large numbers
According to event organizer Omondi wa Mercedes of Shado Event Initiative, who has so far not commented on the issue, the event was to unite youths and promote culture awareness.
“It is believed that every Kalenjin has a chaget (jacket) in their wardrobe. On this note, the event targets to create a platform to highlight major issues touching our youths and the general public like empowerment and investment,” Omondi had said.
