Teacher and student charged with possession of exam papers in Voi

 Taita Taveta, KENYA: A primary school teacher and a class eight candidate have been charged with exam malpractices.

Boniface Ogolla, a teacher at St Kelvin primary school and  Omar Salah were arrested after they were caught in possession of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Social Studies paper on Thursday morning.

The suspects who appeared before Voi Resident Magistrate Helen Nderitu on Friday morning denied the offense.

The suspects were released on a Sh500,000 and Sh200,000 bond with one surety of a similar amount respectively.

The case will be mentioned on November 7.
