Kilifi, KENYA: One person has been confirmed dead while two people are still missing after the dawn collapse of an 8 storey building in Malindi.
The building which was under construction has left an unknown number of people trapped with Kilifi County Police Boss Fredrick Ochieng confirming the presence of rescue teams at the scene.
Seven people, among them four women and a child, have already been rescued from the debris.
The cause of the collapse of the building which fell on nearby residential houses and a petrol station has not been established even has heavy rains continue to be experienced in the coastal region.
