The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting a child.
According to BBC, Kensington Palace said the couple “appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
Their child who is due next spring will be seventh in line to the throne, pushing Harry’s uncle the Duke of York into eighth place.
The couple tied the knot in May 2018 in a star-studded ceremony in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom.
Just before Meghan and Harry’s wedding, Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne who is Meghan’s friend and former agent opened up about Meghan’s love for children.
“She said to me, ‘I would absolutely love to have children, and I can’t wait to be a mother’,” Gina said in the Sky documentary, Harry and Meghan: A Love Story.
UK website Daily Mail reported that Meghan and Harry told the Royal Family about the pregnancy at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding three days ago.
Harry and Meghan had attended the ceremony and reception along with most other senior members of The Firm at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Friday.
