Kirinyaga, KENYA: Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru has threatened to sue IPSOS Synovate over a survey that ranked her as the second most corrupt leader in Kenya after Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaking in Kagio town in Kirinyaga county on Thursday, Governor Waiguru rubbished off the survey polls calling it total propaganda.

“I will this say to IPSOS: Shame on you. Shame on you for pushing an agenda that you know very well is political. I have never been taken to court because of any matter regarding corruption. So, you cannot come and say that I am the most corrupt,” said Waiguru, who was accompanied by Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri and Kirinyaga MCAs.

According to IPSOS Research Analyst Tom Wolf they asked participants  who they consider among all present and (still living) past leaders as “most corrupt?”

Kenyans have expressed lack of satisfaction with the direction the country is heading citing major scams such as the National Youth Scandal (NYS) and the Kenya Power graft cases that have never been settled as governor Waiguru calling on those with evidence to go to court rather than relying on polls.

“If they think they have any evidence on anyone on corruption. There is the DPP, they can take evidence there so that action can be taken instead of coming up with propaganda and saying it is Kenyans (opinion). Kenyans are not foolish.” Stated Waiguru

The survey that was conducted from 25th July to 2nd August came at a time when President Uhuru has intensified the war on corruption
