Linton Maina, born of a Kenyan father and a German mother is being eyed by the premier league giants Manchester United.
Maina, a 19 year has become the talk of the town after a fantastic performance in the Bundesliga despite making only two appearances in the debut and pre-season.
Maina who wears jersey no 40 started his youth career at the age of 13 with SV Pferfferwerk where he played for 7 years before moving to Hannover.
Speaking after the match, Maina expressed confidence in his performance.
“My first input to the game was successful as I helped the team win a free kick in a dangerous position and it gave me confidence. The assist is my highlight and it felt great”, said Maina.
According to several media houses in Germany, the 19-year-old’s prowess has captured the eyes of several scouts at Manchester United. Sources indicate that the Red Devils see him capable of delivering if given a chance at Old Trafford in future.
Andre Breitenreiter coach to Hannover 96 has expressed deep satisfaction with Maina’s performance of late and is considering including him in the first team.
Linton is eligible to play for the Kenyan national team Harambee stars if they consider him
