11 counties, Mombasa included, will be experiencing a power outage on Tuesday 7th August from 9am to 5pm.
Through their website, Kenya Power announced it will be interrupting electricity supply in parts of Mombasa, Nairobi, Nakuru, Kiambu, Bungoma, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Kwale, Kilifi, Isiolo and Kisii counties.
In Mombasa, the affected part will be Changamwe while Likoni residents will have to fully charge their phones as their electricity supply will be interrupted on Wednesday with Nyali experiencing the same on Friday.
Kilifi Township Sec Sch, Kibarani Sch for the Deaf, St. Judy Pri Sch, Kilifi Cashew Nuts Fact, Millennium Cashew Nuts Fact, Vibandani Village, Kwa Dula Village & adjacent customers will be in darkness. In Kwale, area affected will be Shimoni.
Those in Nairobi’s Kilimani and Mihango areas will also experience the outage.
