It was a sad weekend for the blues after losing 2-0 to Pep Guardiola’s side in the Community Shield.
Chelsea was outshined in the 90 minutes of the match by the premier league winners where Sergio Aguero scored twice in the 2-0 loss.
However, the blues Boss Maurizio Sarri has revealed why his side fell 2-0 in the competitive match.
The Italiana has admitted that Chelsea has no option but to improve not only in the defensive phase but also in the forward phase of the team.
The former Napoli boss who has only worked with the blues for three weeks has also said the team must quickly look up ahead of their premier league opener next weekend against Leicester City.
“I arrived here three weeks ago and I’ve never seen six players, so it’s very difficult.’’ Said Sarri
Ahead of their premier league opener, they will face Lyon in a friendly match on Tuesday 7th.
“I think it’s a long, way we have to work. It’s not very easy.’’ he added.”
In the 2017/2018 season, Chelsea was 5th with 70 points.
