New twist as Coast region NASA MPs defend Jumwa and Dori

Nairobi,KENYA:Coast members of parliament drawn from different political fronts have blasted the Orange Democratic Movement on what they term as unfair disciplinary action directed to Malindi Mp Aisha Jumwa and Msambweni mp Suleiman Dori, after issuing showcause letters to the duo.

In a media briefing at parliamentary buildings led by Kisauni member of parliament Ali Mbogo and Said Hiribae  ,said that the action violates the mps ‘s rights because they have a right to associate to  whoever they feel like associating with.

 “We want to make it clear, that our two honorable members that is ,Aisha jumwa and Suleiman Dori ,who is also the commissioner for the PSC ,and honourable Suleiman Dori who is also the chair of coastal parliamentary group ,they received the show cause letters from their party ,that is Orange democratic party to show why the party cannot take action against them.”Mbogo said

They urged the parties to minimize victimization and any form of intimidation to their coastal counterparts indicating that there is need for parties to embrace the big Four agenda after the handshake of president Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga .

Tana River Women rep Rehema Hassan urged ODM leadership to withdrawal the letters from the legislators as a way of reaching the truce.

Jumwa and Dori indicated that they are ready to back deputy president William Ruto on his 2022 presidential bid.

The party, in July 24th gave show cause letters to the duo giving them seven days to respond to the matter failure to which action will be taken against them.
