Antonio Conte sacked by Chelsea


London,ENGLAND: English Premier League club Chelsea has parted ways with its head coach Antonio Conte.

After the news of the Italian leaving the club surfaced on Thursday, Chelsea in a statement on Fridayconfirmed the sacking of the tactician who has been with The Blues for two years.

“During Antonio’s time at the club, we won our sixth league title and eighth FA Cup. In the title winning season, the club set a then-record 30 wins in a 38-game Premier League season, as well as a club-record 13 consecutive league victories, read in part the statement’’.

Maurizo Sarri who stepped down as Napoli coach in June is set to be appointed as the new Chelsea manager as the club fight to improve next season after failing to qualify for Champions League last campaign.
