Kericho,KENYA: AFC Leopards registered their eighth draw of the season after they forced a 0-0 stalemate with hosts Zoo FC in the Kenya Premier League match staged at Kericho stadium on Wednesday.

Zoo will have them-selves to blame for not emerging victors in an encounter they dictated but failed to break a disciplined and organized Leopard’s defense.

Leopards finished the match with 10 players on the pitch after midfielder Marvin Omondi was sent off in stoppage time for punching Zoo midfielder Danson Chetambe.

The draw jitters Leopards’ hopes of challenging for the title as they remain fourth on 32 points, 14 behind leaders Gor Mahia who have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, league governing body KPL has announced that the postponed Mashemeji derby pitting perennial rivals Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards will be played on July 21.

The match was initially planned for May 26 but was postponed to allow players join national men’s soccer team Harambee Stars for international duties.
